I have so much to be grateful for. I hope you do too.
Thank you for buying this album, for coming to my shows, for listening with your heart, for raising your voice and moving your feet, and for being you.
The world needs you, and we need each other, in all our weirdness, wonderfulness and diversity.
That's what this album is about - working together and loving each other, friends and strangers alike, to get through the hard times together and to share the moments of joy.
I had met all the artists who contributed to this album, but I didn't really know them before. Now we are friends. When you create something together, you really bond.
Each artist who helped make this album was a delight to work with, and taught me something new about what it is to be an artist and a friend in these strange times. Just by being themselves, they allowed me to explore aspects of myself that I hadn't known before.
I hope these songs will inspire you to sing, dance, imagine and connect more deeply with your own creative gifts and those of others.
May we all have much to be grateful for in the days and years to come.
Thank you to:
Brad Simons and Brandon Unis, my brilliant co-producers and co-songwriters on this album, who made the process so easy and fun, and brought these songs to life with your skill and dedication.
Anthony, my brilliant and dedicated manager, who made this whole project happen in the first place, and pushed me to try something new.
Tara, my amazing wife, who took time off from her own projects to let me go to the studio all day, and put up with me listening to and agonizing over endless versions and revisions of each song over the last 18 months.
